Abstract: The invention discloses a vehicle front and back distance detection device and method based on artificial intelligence, and belongs to the technical field, the device comprises a laser radar and a radar support frame, one end of the laser radar is connected with the radar support frame, the other end of the laser radar is embedded into the front and back ends of a vehicle, and the laser radar and the vehicle are sealed. A rotating assembly, a power assembly and a laser assembly are installed in the laser radar, one end of the power assembly is connected to the rotating assembly, and the laser assembly is connected with the rotating assembly. According to the device and method for detecting the front-back distance of the vehicle based on artificial intelligence, when the detection range needs to be adjusted, the three connecting rods adjust the angles of the first laser scanning head, the second laser scanning head and the third laser scanning head along the limiting rods so as to disperse or concentrate the recognition range, and the controller drives the air pump to work; when the laser radar contracts, gas in the gas pipe is extracted, the spring is compressed to absorb part of impact force generated by contraction of the laser radar, and meanwhile the laser radar contracts to reduce damage caused by collision.
